Robert Iger is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of The Walt Disney Company’s Board of Directors.
Between 1994 and 1995, he was President of ABC Television, and from 1995 until its acquisition by Disney in 1996, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Capital Cities/ABC.

After he retired from the navy, he worked for Greenvale Marketing Corporation as executive vice president and general manager. He sadly passed away in 2010.
His mother, however, was an educationist. She worked at Boardman Junior High School in an undisclosed capacity. She also passed away in 2013.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Television and Radio from Ithaca College in 1973, graduating magna cum laude. Iger grew up with a love of books and penned his first novel when he was 13 years old.
